What is the halloween hustle?
The Halloween Hustle® 5K and Kid’s Dash benefitting The Boys and Girls Club of Palatine is a Halloween themed race on Saturday, October 25, 2025 in Palatine! Come for the 5k, stay for the boos.
Event Highlights:
- 5K Run/Walk: Put on your best costume and take on a scenic 5K route through Palatine! The race is perfect for runners and walkers of all levels.
- Kids Dash: Little ones can join the Halloween fun with a shorter, festive Kids Dash. They’ll have a blast sprinting in their favorite costumes!
- Costume Contest: Be sure to dress up in your most creative costume for a chance to win prizes! Best costume wins bragging rights (and a fun reward)!
- Post-Race Celebration: Join us at Tap House Grill where you can enjoy food, drinks, music, and more after crossing the finish line!

Free parking will be available at the parking garage at N. Smith St. & W. Colfax St.

Follow the parking signs. There will be NO PARKING on the streets near the Start and Finish at Eric Dr. {Please respect the residents by NOT parking in the neighborhood.}
are there refunds or exchanges?
Since the Halloween Hustle has many upfront costs, we have a strict and uniform policy of no refunds, no person-to-person transfer, or no deferrals to a future year. We do understand that plans change, injuries happen, and various situations arise, but, we feel it is most fair to apply a uniform policy to all, instead of a subjective line of who should receive a refund and who doesn’t. All purchases and sales are 100% final, no exceptions. Refunds will not be issued based on weather conditions or pandemics. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.

IS THERE RACE DAY PACKET PICK-UP?
If you are unable to attend Packet Pickup on Friday before the race, you can pick it up on Race Day for a FEE. There is a $5.00 fee per packet, per paid participant that you pay during online registration or $5 cash day-of. To avoid paying this fee, please attend Packet Pickup in person the day prior.
